BAGLEY WOODS – KENNINGTON; BETWEEN OXFORD & ABINGDON

Just south of Oxford, Bagley Wood is 550acres of quite beautiful ancient woodland. First mentioned in an Abbey Charter in 955. Legend has it that it was a pretty lawless place in the 1300s. In 1619 St John’s College purchased the woods for £600. They are open to the public though gates and walkways. There are no facilities on site. Your experiences please.
